DMSO – What Your Doctor Doesn’t Want You to Know

Just like Ivermectin and Fenbendazole, DMSO is starting to hit the viral New Media with cases of recovery and good health. Personally, DMSO came on my radar about a year ago and I bought some but never had a chance to use it, because I had no need. I personally stay pretty healthy, but wanted to make sure my medicine pantry had access to it for myself or others. I also purchased a pretty in depth book on it also that describes warnings and uses. I recommend my readers to do indepth research on there own also prior to use. I keep hearing of great success and thought I would create a post to list those here:

Midwestern Doctor publishes article on the benefits of DMSO on COPD and other Lung Issues here.

DMSO for Brain and Spinal Injury

Basic DMSO Information

DMSO: Application and Ingestion

(Lewis Drake, Ph.D. (@LewDrakePhD)

08/31/25

My family and friends have used DMSO for over 40 years. It’s been a miracle substance for treating bruises, severe skin and internal organ problems. The only DMSO side effect is bad “Garlic breath.” But you MUST read and learn about DMSO before using it, or you could harm yourself or others!!

Cautions DMSO can act as a “drug amplifier.” Any drug (e.g. aspirin) mixed with it will be transported into your body when the mixture is applied to skin. Don’t apply 99.9% pure DMSO directly to skin because it may cause excessive drying. The soles of the feet may be an exception to this.

DMSO (Theory of Operation)

This is my crazy THEORY about how DMSO can perform healing at the molecular and cellular level. This theory is a work in progress. No one knows exactly how DMSO works.

Have you heard of Kirlian Photography (KP)? The KP photos show maps of a person’s electric field (aura) created by their spirit. See this Link Live body cells grow and heal (repair) themselves, guided by a person’s electric field (aura). The aura is an electric, molecular level map. Molecules grow into positions prescribed by the aura. When physical damage occurs to a body part, because of injury or sickness, DMSO seems to be able to unscramble the damaged tissue on the molecular level by using electrical (+/-) charges as the method of actuation.

There have been human cases involving DMSO where parts of fingers were regrown slowly over months. Regrowth can occur when the damaged tissue area isn’t tightly covered by bandages. The regrowth follows the invisible aura map to properly place new tissue.

Simply, DMSO seems to be able to boost the body’s innate power of healing. It also can carry healing agents or drugs through the brain’s blood barrier. It can travel through the circulatory system and microscopically-adjust damages it finds. Perhaps DMSO can enhance the process of creating growth to match the aura.

DMSO Side Effects (Application and Ingestion)

The main DMSO side effect is bad “Garlic breath.” Only about one person in 2000 will be found to have a negative reaction to it. DMSO can remove varnish from furniture!

DMSO (Cautions)

DMSO can rapidly deliver most drugs, like aspirin, into your body when applied to the skin.

Also, don’t apply 99.9% pure DMSO directly to skin because it may cause excessive drying. The soles of the feet may be an exception to this. The best materials for creating and storing dilution mixes of DMSO are glass or stainless steel. If you want to use some types of “plastic” bottles then the following types are best (in order of preference): Polypropylene, High Density Polyethylene, Low Density Polyethylene.

Use DMSO on clean skin (no nail polish). Caution: be careful applying DMSO over a lotion, salve, or ointment. DMSO is a “drug amplifier” and will absorb and carry anything present on your skin, into your body. Applying DMSO over a poisonous substance can be deadly!

Glove Application

When applying DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide), choosing the right gloves is critical because DMSO can penetrate the skin and carry substances through it, potentially exposing you to harmful chemicals or contaminants. Based on available information from Grok 4, here are the best glove options and considerations:

Butyl Rubber Gloves: These are widely recommended for handling DMSO, especially for prolonged or high-exposure scenarios. Butyl gloves offer excellent resistance to DMSO, with breakthrough times exceeding 8 hours in some tests, making them ideal for extended contact. They are thicker and more durable than other materials but may reduce dexterity, so proper sizing is important to avoid clumsiness when handling small tools or containers.

Neoprene Gloves: Neoprene is another highly effective option, with studies showing breakthrough times of over 8 hours for DMSO. These gloves provide good chemical resistance and are slightly more flexible than butyl, offering a balance between protection and dexterity. They are a strong choice for tasks requiring moderate exposure.

Nitrile Gloves: Nitrile gloves are suitable for brief, incidental contact with DMSO but are less ideal for prolonged exposure. Some sources indicate that nitrile degrades within about 5 minutes of continuous exposure to DMSO, while others suggest they can be used for short tasks if double-gloved (e.g., nitrile inner layer with latex outer layer). For small-volume handling (e.g., microliter amounts), nitrile may suffice, but it’s not recommended for spills or extended use.

Latex Gloves: Latex gloves offer limited protection against DMSO and are generally not recommended. They may provide splash resistance for very brief contact, but DMSO can permeate latex quickly, especially if contaminated with other substances like chloroform.

Skin Application

To prevent DMSO-caused skin irritations, apply a 70% DMSO (or less) diluted solution, rather than the full strength 99.9% DMSO on skin. DMSO will treat and prevent serious skin irritations, cuts, burns, bruises and muscle aches. If you plan on physically exercising, that might result in sore muscles, then apply DMSO before exercising and it will prevent soreness and other damages.

DMSO (Nebulizer Use)

Test to verify that the nebulizer parts (tubing, etc.) can withstand diluted DMSO. A simple test is: apply a few drops of pure DMSO to any plastic nebulizer part that will come in contact with a solution containing DMSO. After a 15-minute exposure, inspect the plastic part for damage by scratching it with a knife to see if the exposed part is softer than non-exposed parts. If there is a softening of the plastic, then do not use the nebulizer. Otherwise, you may nebulize particles of dissolved plastic and damage your lungs! Read this post  about treating the lungs with DMSO.

DMSO (Dilutions)

You can dilute 99.9% DMSO to make a skin friendly, 70% DMSO solution, by mixing pure water in a GLASS measuring cup. Use a GLASS measuring cup because DMSO can melt certain types of plastic. Once DMSO mixes with plastic it should never be applied to skin!

Example Dilution: Create 100 ml of a 70% DMSO solution.

  1. Add 70 ml of 99.9% DMSO to a glass measuring cup.
  2. Add 30 ml of pure water to the cup (this will bring the cup contents up to 100 ml total).
  3. Pour measured amount into a Low Density Polypropylene (LDPE) bottle.

DMSO (Skin Application) To prevent DMSO-caused skin irritations, apply a 70% DMSO (or less) diluted solution, rather than full strength 99.9% DMSO on skin. DMSO will treat and prevent skin irritations, cuts, burns, bruises, and muscle aches. If you plan on physically exercising, that might result in sore muscles, then apply DMSO before exercising and it will prevent soreness and other damage.

Use DMSO on clean skin (no nail polish). Caution: be careful applying DMSO over a lotion, salve or ointment. DMSO is a “drug amplifier” and will absorb and carry anything present on your skin, into your body. Applying DMSO over a poisonous substance can be deadly! If you want to apply DMSO to someone without being treated yourself, use thicker Latex gloves, NOT Nitrile. Nitrile will be damaged more easily by DMSO.

Wash skin with clean cloth & tap water (that is safe to drink). Filtered or Reverse Osmosis water is fine, but not necessary for washing. Daily Rubs: (1-3 times/day): 1. Apply a 70% DMSO solution to CLEAN skin in the area to be treated. 2. Wait 5-10 min, or until itching begins. 3. Wash off any DMSO remnants using warm water on a clean cloth. 4. Apply MCT coconut oil, or olive oil, or other natural skin treatment oil to condition the skin and minimize long term dryness caused by the treatment.

DMSO (Oral Ingestion) Allergic reactions to DMSO occur in approximately 1 out of 2000 individuals. It is recommended to start with a low oral dose, such as 1 teaspoon, to check for potential allergies. Dosages commonly range from 1-3 teaspoons diluted in a glass of water daily. Excessive intake may result in side effects like headache or nausea. Noticeable effects may take over a month of consistent use to appear, while changes such as garlic-like breath can occur soon after ingestion.

DMSO (Strokes) The very best thing for an in-progress brain stroke, is one or more of these items below, ASAP: 1) DMSO 1-3 teaspoons/day in a cup of water, 2) Low concentration IV drip of DMSO, 3) Rub DMSO on forehead, neck, shoulders & back. Wash off after 5-10 minutes with clean water.

DMSO (ALS) BOOST vitamin D(25OH) > 100 Strict Carnivore diet and intermittent fasting. Oral 99.9% DMSO 1-2 tablespoons in a cup of water each day. Rub on 70% DMSO 3-4 times per day.

DMSO (Cancer Drug Dosing) The antiparasitic drugs are shown on X.com to have a strong killing effect on cancers, but DMSO has a healing effect (it restores cancer cells to normal). If you have a tumor, DMSO may convert its cancer cells to normal cells, instead of killing it. It is safe for surgical removal without metastasis.. Start dosing by taking DMSO 5 ml/day mixed in a small glass of water. Gradually increase the amount of DMSO in steps of 5 ml/day. Let your body determine your upper limit.  Stop increasing if there are signs of nausea or headache.

DMSO (Eye Health)

Cataracts, macular degeneration (MD) & glaucoma (a vitreous humor flow issue) are not genetic. A high carb diet with seed oils:

1) Damages macular capillaries and causes MD and,

2) Creates oxidative stress in the eye lens and creates cataracts (not usually UV damage).

DMSO (Cataracts) Glaucoma is caused by a long-term, HIGH CARB diet containing “seed oils.” See a Keto or Carnivore Diet. Application of 2-3 drops/day of (30%DMSO & 70% Castor Oil) can be used to treat cataracts.

Use in Eyes

I don’t think you will find many MDs or ODs that would recommend applying DMSO directly to the eyes. It has never been approved officially for that use. If you decide to try it, you must do it yourself cautiously, and without any official guidance. I’ve received reports from other people whose goal was to reverse aging effects of the lens and retina. I’ve tried it myself, to affect lens aging, and it worked.

@MidwesternDoc has written about it in his publication: How DMSO Cures Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat and Dental Disease

DMSO (Eyes and Pearl Powder)

Mix Pearl Powder supplements with castor oil and rub into closed eyelids and about 1 inch of the area surrounding the eyes, then sleep overnight while it absorbs. Wash of later with warm soapy water. It has worked in a few small trials. See: Discussion  See: Castor Oil See: Pearl Powder

DMSO (Shingles)

My Shingles Recommendation: ‬‬

If you are prone to getting Shingles, then consider doing the following:‬‬

1) Forget taking the heavy metals laden shingles vaccine, it doesn’t work all the time. And, do you really trust any vaccine manufacturer since the Covid debacle that showed their true nature?‬‬

2) Suppress shingles by supplementing daily with L-Lysine: 620 mg/day for “boosted protection” against Shingles.‬‬

See: Life Extension L-Lysine, 620 mg. This will treat Herpes systematically. ‬‬

3) If you get a shingles outbreak, then treat it ASAP by rubbing on a 70% DMSO solution, around and over the affected area. When itching starts, wash DMSO off using warm water. ‬ [Alternately, you could take 5 ml of pure DMSO orally, once/day, mixed with at least 100 ml of water. Gradually increase the amount of DMSO in steps of 5 ml. Let your body determine your upper limit.]‬

4) It is good practice to also supplement using vitamin D3+K2 and maintain your blood Vitamin D(25-OH)>90. Magnesium supplements should also be taken for proper absorption of Vitamin D3. ‬‬

DMSO: Daily Dosing

You may take DMSO orally, and you may take doses morning and evening. Dilute the dose with water to minimize the strong flavor. A typical side effect is having “garlic breath.”

Start by mixing 5 ml (1 tsp) of pure DMSO in a small glass (at least 100 ml) of water. Then each day, gradually increase the amount of DMSO, in increments of 5 ml, and look for any indication of nausea or headache.

Only 1 in 2000 people have a negative reaction to DMSO. Let your body’s reaction determine the upper limit of the dose.

Nicotine (General Use)

Nicotine supplements have been associated with improvements in memory and decrease in Dementia symptoms. Medium nicotine patches (17 mg) may also be used at the same time as DMSO and Ivermectin. You can cut the patches to reduce size and thereby their application intensity. Don’t put patches over areas where DMSO has been applied.

A strength of (3 – 5) mg/day has been mentioned as adequate on X.com. Larger sizes can over-stimulate.

DMSO and Castor Oil Application

Skin Conditioner

It seems DMSO penetrates the skin in a few minutes, combines with water, goes into the blood and interstitial fluid, then circulates everywhere in the body. Eventually the sulfur components leave mainly via the breath as evidenced by sensing a change to your taste and smell of sulfur.

Your skin conditioner will eventually be absorbed even if you don’t use DMSO. But with DMSO, absorption will happen much faster. For some substances fast absorption can cause unhealthy effects because the body can’t react in time to eliminate substances it sees as toxic.

So, a guess of 15+ minutes absorption time seems reasonable. It takes about 2 days before the garlic breath completely fades away.

Castor Oil + DMSO for the Eyes

Either way will introduce the drugs to the eye. I don’t know which is best.

You can try these two mixes and determine which you like best. I suspect that the castor oil mix will create less irritation.

“20% DMSO + 80% Water”

“30% DMSO + 70% Castor Oil”

No one completely understands how DMSO works its healing and restorative wonders. Let me know your experience

DMSO: Venous Insufficiency

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a condition where veins in the legs struggle to send blood back to the heart, causing blood to pool and leading to symptoms like swelling, pain, and skin changes. It is often caused by damaged valves in the veins and can worsen over time if not treated.‬‬

Most people with swollen legs and ankles (venous insufficiency) can effectively treat the condition by using the following procedure each night before bed. After a few weeks this treatment will cure venous insufficiency.‬

        1) Rub-into each leg and foot: ‬(70% DMSO/30% water) solution.‬‬

        2) Let it absorb for 5-10 minutes. ‬‬

        3) Flush legs with warm water.‬‬
