Marjorie Kinnon Rawlings

Andrea and I watched this movie about Margorie Rawlings, I bought her book right after too. Then while driving up to Gainesville Florida we stopped at her home which is now a State Park.

It was a wonderful visit seeing how her life unfolded into our lives. We even stopped at a local restaurant called The Yearling, named after another book she wrote that received a Pulitzer prize.

The Yearling has really good Fried Green Tomatoes too!

It was a really cool restaurant stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

Here house was one of the first houses in Florida to have indoor shower.
