I’ve been making signs since I was a Junior in high school. I’m not sure how it all got started. However I’ve sure enjoyed my time doing them and learning the craft. I think I’ve tried every media and type of paint available. I’m often asked to do a logo and then they love their new identity and then want to see it larger. Some times they inquire just how to direct traffic or are replacing an older sign. Here are some that I’ve made over the course of my life.

Some signs I’ve sandblasted like the one above in Applebee’s in Rapid City, SD

Glass Etching has been a very exciting business for me for years. These doors and mirrored sign were some of my favorites.

I designed this sign in Rapid City, SD for Dr. Beausaw. It started as a logo design request. I loved here logo. I didn’t recommend the picture in the background of the logo. I liked it much better with a white background.

As far as I know this sign is still hanging on Lead, SD Main Street. This one of the first signs I completed when I moved to Lead/Deadwood. I think it’s ready for a redo… it’s been over 30 years.

One of my favorite logo designs I did and the sign was premo. I don’t think the business lasted, however I don’t think it had anything to do with the graphics or sign. Located in Deadwood back in 2005

This is one I donated to Lead or my puppy did. I will have to see if I can find the story. Lead, SD

I did the Historic School House Logo. They ended up purchase Signage too.. Lead, SD

I loved working on this because of the gold accents. What do you think? Deadwood, SD

I loved supporting Sports… I wonder if this is still around? Lead/Deadwood Sourht Dakota School District

Lead Main Street was a place that I can say I did almost every sign.. Everyone hear is mine.

I designed this billboard.. It was mine when I launched Black Hill Portal.

Another billboard design I did, and again it was mine. Black Hills Portal – Rapid City, SD

I didn’t make this I designed it and had it installed. This was a subcontract job.

This was for a birth center I owned and did the sign for in Spearfish, SD

Back alley in Lead, SD

Look how cold it looks in this photo! My signs had extreme elements hit them all the time. This particular sign is still there as far as I know. Going into Lead, SD

Is RadioShack still around? I did both of these on Main Street Spearfish, SD.

I designed these signs and was suppose to do them. This is a funny story and I should tell you about it sometime. I ended up suing the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce over this and won in court. They stole my designs and took them to my competitor and had them do the signs from out of town. Whew! There is a story for you..

This was part of the legal suit too. I remember when I seen it up, I almost fainted. I thought I did it and forgot. Because it is exactly as I designed it. There was about 6-8 signs I designed for Deadwood Chamber.

Sandblasted – Spearfish, SD

This was one of several large rocks I sandblasted. This was for a home in Nemo area. I did this for Bob McKey.
