FPL is scamming residences!
I was paying over $18.00 a month for surge protection and last lightening storm took out my 5 gal. water distiller. (Not Covered) after installer told me it was. He didn’t come to install. He came to remove it. He convinced me to keep it, because it would cover it. But they do not. This program is for an installed surge protector at meter and insurance. No technician will certify that it was taken out by surge. Scam… There program only covers mostly motors like ceiling fans which aren’t really in danger from surges. Only sensitive electronics are. Hence, scam!
